Chenango valley state park ny

I am looking for information on this park. Is is nice, stuff to do. Would college students like it if they came with their parents or would they find it boring? They like to fish, etc. I am looking for a level site that would be large for a fifth wheel and a tent. Any help is appreciated.

Furnace won't ignite - long post but HELP

We have a 2005 Jayco fifthwheel. We purchased it about one month ago. We have taken it out twice recently when the burner failed to ignite at times. Sometimes it did and sometimes it didn't. When we got the FW we had it in the driveway and the furnace worked fine as I was making a few modifications and cleaning and stocking it. Went out without shore power and it wouldn't light. Then fidling with the on off, it lit and stayed lit. Then we lowered the temperature to not have it go on as often. When we raised the temperature, it didn't light. Took it to the dealer, they reset the reset button as the light was blinking 3 x indicating failure with ignition. Said it was fixed. Took it out this weekend and again it wouldn't come on all the time. Funny thing is when it was trying to ignite, the Television would go off. Fuses are fine. However, I did replace the end of the pigtail when we bought it as it had been driven over. Anyone got any ideas. I am letting the dealer know we still have an issue and it will go back in the spring for fixing but I'm the type who would like to figure this out and resolve it. IT can't go back to the dealer now due to I'm not having it in the salt/snow as my truck is not 4x4. Thanks for reading and all you electric guys and gals can help me - maybe?

RE: Help w/ Plans - Finger Lakes

Once they arrive at the B&B, they should have numerous brochures on what to see in the area. Not too much for kids but the area is almost at peak for leaves.

Mounting bracket opposite side of what is on side of RV

We just moved to a fifth wheel from out TT. It has a mounting bracket on the outside of the unit for a grill or table. We would like to mount a small table to this with an adjustable table let to set our grill on. We have a nice grill and just want to set it on the table. Where can I get the other side of this bracket?

HELP: Advice on stalling fifth wheel hitch

We are picking up our new-to-us 5er this week. We have a 1994 Ford F250 SD (yes 1994) which we have always only used for towing our TT. We have purchased a used Husky (formerly Valley) fifth wheel in excellent condition. It is about 5 years old. It came with the rails, fifth wheel and spacers. If anyone can share some advice on how to put this in, please do so. It does not have any L-shaped brackets with it and some of the kits show this. Do we need this or does this just get mounted to the bed with the grade 8 bolts and nuts. What attaches to the frame? Thanks.

RE: A new campground in Niagara Falls?

Just what we need.... more RV sites in a parking lot on Niagara Falls Blvd. Hopefully, he will plan it nicer. Meanwhile, I'll continue to stay at Four Mile Creek -much cheaper, nicer views, and quieter.

RE: Used Mountaineer...maybe the one?

There are many levels of Montana - Montana Big Sky is the top and the Mountaineer is down a bit. Made similar but not the fancy trim packages. Similar to Jayco Designer vs Jayco Eagle. We have a Montana Mountaineer TT 2002 that we love but are looking to sell it and get a 5th wheel for various reasons. However, if we don't sell it, we will keep it as it has served us well and has nothing wrong with it. With any RV unit, maintenance is a BIG FACTOR. If you don't take care of your unit with regular checks, filling of any suspicious hairline caulk cracks with something like Dicor self-leveling, cleaning of appliances, you may have trouble. I've seen 10 year old entry level units that I would rather purchase than a 5 year old top of the line that has been abused and never taken care of. Just be sure you have had it looked at well. Good Luck and have fun.

RE: Dry Camping down the I95

Welcome and enjoy your trip. If you belong to Good Sam, you can map your trip and they will let you know where there are campgrounds and such along the way. In addition you can program a GPS with Cracker Barrel Restaurants and Walmarts. These usually allow overnight camping in their parking lots. Be sure to ask first and park where there are other campers or near lights. We have never had a problem but you never know. Then in the morning go for breakfast if at Cracker Barrel or purchase your needed items at Wal-mart. In addition Flying J's also have overnight parking and of course so do the rest areas on many of the interstates. Safe Travels.

Queen Bed Sizes

We are looking at upgrading to a fifth wheel and are deciding upon getting a bedroom slide or not. We'd prefer not due to the extra weight and we really don't need the room. My question is are the beds BIGGER in the bedroom slide units or not (longer and/or wider). Thanks.

Jayco Owners - Need your advice

We are looking for a Jayco fifth wheel with one slide (sofa/dinnette). We are looking for a hide-a-bed. My question is when I view these online with rvtrader or such, how can I tell if it has a hide-a-bed. I currently have one in the TT we have and it has three cushions. How can you tell by the pictures?

Keystone Mountaineer Fender Skirt Issue

Recently we lost our fender skirt while traveling. It just worked itself loose and disappeared while traveling. All that is left are the screws. We recently located some at a surplus place that has Keystone surplus parts. Our questions is, if you have replaced them did you put anything under or around the screws to keep it from vibrating to so much while traveling to keep it from fracturing around the screw holes. This occured on the curb side, the awning side seemed to be okay. A few small hairline cracks around one screw but okay. The other side was loose but we didn't expect it to just fly away.

Need Recipe for black bean, pinto bean w/ corn cold dip

Recently I had a great "dip". It was a cold dip with pinto beans, black beans, shoepeg corn, onions, celery and it seemed to be tossed with a sugar and vinegar mix. You scooped it up with a scoop corn chip. It was delicious and I am camping and would like to make it this weekend. The person who brought it to the party is away and I can't reach her. Does anyone know what I am referring to and what the real recipe would be. Thanks

How small a TT can you find?,, How about one that is 8"

A new poster was lookingn for a small TT. I remember we camped with some folks from Canada who had a Taylor coach. since the poster was looking for a small TT and was from Canada, I checked out Taylor coach. They have a teeeny, weeny 8 foot long enclosed TT. Fits the bill if you don't need much and don't have much to tow it with. If anyone can go to the site and do a clicky, thank you.

RE: Travel Trailer Options in Lite

I think there is a Canadian Rv manufacturer called Taylor coach. I have seen a few of these and they are short, seem to be made well and lighter. Keep looking there are a lot of units out there. You won't be able to get one with a slide but with only a toddler, you can get along without one now. Welcome to Rving. It is so much FUN. Good Luck. Always post again with what you are close to deciding on and you'll get a lot of positive feedback on your choices.

RE: Manual double steps

shop the rv surplus stores for new steps. I don't think it is a big thing to remove the old and install the new. I'll be removing my double manual on Monday and installing my new triple as the wife couldn't make it out the bedroom door with only the double. don't know why there are triple on the back door and only a double on the front,.

RE: campground reservations

Depends upon where you go. F0r your first time out, you may not want to be so far (less than one hour) and try everything out. I would pick three or four places and call and see if they have openings. If there are a lot of spaces perhaps take your chances. It is a toss up, weekdays we go with no reservations. Weekends we always have it. In NYS you need to reserve some state parks up to 9 months ahead. Just have fun. After a while, you will learn what parks you need to make ahead and which ones you can just show up to,

RE: Help..Finally No Kids and a Week End Away (New York)

ONE ANSWER: Croton on the Hudson County Park in Croton, NY,. 45 min train ride from the park and you are in Grand Central in NYC. One week at the park is about $ 180 We were there in April and had a great time. No fuss, no parking issues and lots to see. See the reviews at rvparkreviews.com You won't be sorry. Forget the other parks they are either a parking lot with no sewer or too far. Private message me if you have any questions.
